Mpumi has more than 10 years’ experience in SMME Development Support. Has been implementing SMME development projects for corporates in South Africa – as a result of Black Economic Empowerment legislation in the country. She has help set up the KwaZulu Natal Growth Fund, sat on the IDC Risk Capital Facility which mainly targeted SMMEs for funding and
non-financial support.She has supported diverse SMMEs in this following sectors : agriculture, agro-processing, manufacturing, retail, franchising, services construction and professional services. To date, through an SMME Fund set up in 2010, has successfully financed more than 15 SMMEs and provided non-financial support to more than 60 SMMEs. Mainly these were women owned small and medium scale businesses in the Rural Limpopo (Nwanedzi), with an average of 10 ha. Support Agri businesses achieve market through Good Agricultural Practice (GAP) certifications. Has worked and coordinated resources and efforts with government, community, retailers strategic local and international stakeholders to achieve set project goals and objectives Assisted the funded businesses with identifying the markets upfront, and build capacity for the businesses to find their own market. Over the years she has raised, and been part of the team that raised in excess of R1billion Rands for BEE transactions 
and participation. Key deliverables previously achieved Overseeing all aspects of the SMME Development projects Business Training, business mentorship – providing information 
where to source professional services and professionalising the business. Facilitating on the farm training and coaching Facilitating preparation of monthly management accounts and budgets Overseeing the introduction of HACCP system in tandem with GAP. These are tailor-made to community or farmer level. Farm workers basic training




Chief Technical Advisor

Charbel is a serial entrepreneur. He has been in business for more than 25 years and has built successful businesses in construction, mining services, agriculture technical support, feed formulations, fertiliser formulation, industrial pipes assembly and  led lighting


Has operated businesses in Lebanon, Germany, Ghana, Nigeria, DRC, Zambia and South Africa. He has grown some his businesses to $5 million turnover, over the years. He manages  over 100 employees in three different countries.Has worked with multinational organisations to achieve business objectives and drive social , political,  economic development agendas in the countries where he operated. Understands and keeps up to date  the international markets and trends  of the sectors in which he operates.


He  aims to provide a value added benefit and service to all clients as if there were the only client for the business. Have facilitated exports markets and trade in the sectors in which he operated.




Officer Manager

Mmakgabo is currently the Office Manager for SE Holdings. Prior to joining SE Holdings Mmakgabo spent more than 8 years working for WDB Investment Holdings in various roles. In 2011 she was appointed as part of the team that was responsible for the initial concept of the Enterprise Development Fund, and was responsible for the development of the Fund’s activities.


Before joining WDB Investment Holdings Mmakgabo spent 3 years working in the UK in the Hospitality industry. In 2003 she worked for Metal Industries Provident Fund Administrator Investment team.
